→ Pick-Up
- Your adventure begins with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel in Metro Manila. Settle in for a scenic 2.5-hour drive south to the historic town of Pagsanjan, Laguna, passing through local towns and countryside views.
→ Pagsanjan & Canoe Ride to the Falls
- Upon arrival, your driver will assist you in arranging the canoe tour and ensure you are safely handed over to your assigned boatmen. From this point, your driver will not join the tour and will wait at the starting point until you return.
- You’ll then board a banca (canoe) manned by two skilled boatmen who will accompany you on your journey upstream, gliding through lush tropical vegetation, narrow river gorges, and towering cliffs.
🛈 A gentle note… Some boatmen may be assertive when asking for tips. This is often due to the limited number of bookings and the large community of registered boatmen sharing the area’s income. Any amount will be sincerely appreciated and goes a long way in supporting their livelihood.
→ Falls & Bamboo Raft Experience
- After about an hour on the river, you’ll reach the majestic Pagsanjan Falls—a hidden gem tucked deep within the forest. Hop on a bamboo raft to get up close and even go under the waterfall and into the mystical Devil’s Cave.
→ Downstream Adventure: “Shooting the Rapids”
- Hold on tight for the thrilling ride back! Your boatmen will expertly “shoot the rapids”, steering the canoe through boulders and fast-moving water until you return to the calmer part of the river. In dry seasons, when water levels are low, boatmen may briefly carry the canoe over shallow points—adding to the adventure.
→ Lunch Break
- After the river adventure, enjoy a local lunch at a nearby restaurant (meals not included in the tour price). It’s a great opportunity to relax and savor the flavors of Laguna province.
→ Return to Manila
- Prepare to begin the 3-hour drive back to Manila. Travel time may vary depending on traffic conditions, so sit back and relax as your driver ensures a safe and comfortable journey to your hotel.
